The ISTG Future Trainers Fellowship in Surgery Award is open to Fellows and Members of the Royal College of Surgeons in good standing who are in, or have completed within the previous two years, a higher surgical training programme (or equivalent) in Ireland.

The successful candidate will be awarded a fellowship grant up to a maximum amount of €10,000. S/He will also be awarded the ISTG Future Trainers Medal, presented at the annual ISTG Silver Scalpel Awards evening.

Congratulations to Mr. Noel Donlon and Mr. David Brinkman, recipients of the Inaugural Future Trainers Fellowship Grant.

Applications open April 1st and close May 1st 2025.
